Woman Arrested In GI on Drug Charges

Brief Narrative: On 7/11/2024 around 20:00 officers were notified by a concerned citizen that a female was running around the area of 319 S Walnut St with a knife. Officers responded to the area and located a female wearing a red shirt, grey shorts, and short black hair which matched the description on the corner of Koenig St and Walnut St. The female was verbally identified as Kaylee Gordon. Kaylee was asked about the knife and advised she never had the knife but mentioned she knew it was in the yard. Kaylee was seen to be acting erratic and a pat down for weapons was conducted. During the pat down Kaylee gave consent for officers to search her pockets and during the search a loaded syringe was located. The liquid in the syringe was presumptively tested and showed a positive result for methamphetamine. Kaylee was placed under arrest for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. It was found the syringe contained 0.3 grams of Methamphetamine. Possession of Control Substance 28-416 Felony IV Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 28-441 Infraction.

In an article published by the Washington Post, the National Weather Service reported the Great Plains is the region with least reliable long-term weather forecasts. In Nebraska, a majority of the state shouldn’t depend on a prediction more than two days in advance, the article stated. For places like North Platte and Grand Island, forecasts for more than a day ahead are inaccurate.

Howard County River Resuce
On July 11, 2024 at around 5:30PM communications received a 911 call about a river rescue with minor details given at the Loup River bridge South of St. Paul. With quick response from Howard County Deputies and officers from the St. Paul Police Department they observed an adult female and minor child holding onto one of the bridge support with the river current trying to take the individuals down river. Law enforcement deputies and officers got to work as they entered the river and grabbed the individuals and were pulled to the sand bank using a ResQdisk that is a rescue device equipped in the St. Paul Police Department patrol vehicles. St. Paul Fire and Rescue we on scene and checked on the individuals involved in the incident.
Pre-trial hearing date set in district court for Grand Island man charged with sex trafficking
GRAND ISLAND — A pre-trial hearing date in September has been set in the case of a Grand Island man who has been charged with sex trafficking in Hall County District Court. Logan Bundy, 23, has been charged with three counts of labor/sex trafficking of a minor, Class 1B felonies, three counts of enticement by electronic device, Class 4 felonies and possession of child pornography, a Class 2A felony.
