George Clayton Ferris passed away from this life in Grand Island, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the age of 95. George was born on December 25, 1928, on a farm near Wausa, to Harry and Mary (Ernest) Ferris. He attended a country school near the family farm until after the eighth grade when he attended Hartington High School while living with his grandparents John and Susie Ernest. He would eventually graduate from high school in Hartington.

Police looking for man after reckless high-speed chase in Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island Police are looking for an Alda man after they say he fled from officers and drove recklessly with his son in the car on Friday. Grand Island Police said officers spotted 37-year-old Don Casey Casares with fictitious plates at the Super Saver on West 2nd Street and attempted to stop him.
