Settlements Reached in Cracking Down on the Sale of Delta 8 Products in Nebraska
LINCOLN–(KFOR June 26)–The first of two settlements have been reached in a statewide campaign from Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers to clean up the Delta 8 market. Settlements were reached with High Flow Cannabis, Stewart Scott Ritter and Alejandro Castro of Grand Island, and with Ms. Vape Shop and Lisa Lomack of Crete, all of whom were selling THC hemp products.

LINCOLN — Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers announces the first two settlements in his statewide campaign to clean up the Delta 8 retail market in Nebraska. The settlements are with High Flow Cannabis, Stewart Scott Ritter, and Alejandro Castro, who were selling THC hemp products in Grand Island, Nebraska, and with Ms. Vape Shop and Lisa Lomack, who were selling THC hemp products in Crete, Nebraska.

Sharon K. Jones, 82, of Central City, died Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care Center in Central City. A public visitation will be held at the Central City Cemetery Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. A private family burial of ashes will be held at the Central City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.soltwagnerfuneral. com. Sharon was born on Aug. 12, 1941, to Ronald and Rogene (Roark) Howe in Central City. She grew up in Central City and graduated from Central City High School in 1959. Sharon was then united in marriage to Gary Jones on May 13, 1960, in Hordville. They then made their home in Clay Center, where she worked for the Clay County Sheriff’s Department for several years. They then moved back to Central City where she worked for KZ-100 radio station. Following her retirement, Sharon remained in Central City.

GI Home Federal Wins At Hastings
(Hastings, NE) - A hot evening didn't phase the Grand Island Home Federal baseball team on Tuesday night as GI would get a 9-1 6-inning road win over Hastings Five Points Bank at Duncan Field. Hastings would take an early 1-0 lead in the first as Nolan Hyde would knock in an RBI single. That score would hold until the top of the third inning as Grand Island would tie the game with an RBI single from Broxton Barrientos. It would be the season's 36th hit and 30th RBI for Barrientos. After a scoreless fourth, Grand Island would open the game up in the top of the fifth scoring 6 runs to lead 7-1. The inning would be highlighted by Grayson Sack who batted twice in the frame. He would have a double in his first at-bat and follow it up with a 2 RBI double in his second time to the plate. Also in the fifth Ian Arends would knock in a 2 RBI single. Home Federal would add two more runs in the top of the sixth to make it 9-1 as the game would end in the 6th inning.
