TriMet's MAX Red Line Expands to Hillsboro Airport with New Transit Hub Link
In a move that redefines mass transit within the Portland area, TriMet has officially completed the expansion of the MAX Red Line to Hillsboro Airport, as well as implementing widespread changes to its bus service infrastructure. As reported by KOIN, the addition of 10 new stations extends the Red Line from Beaverton Transit Center to the Hillsboro Airport, essentially linking two significant travel hubs with a single rail line. The project, known as A Better Red, is celebrated with giveaways and festivities scheduled for Aug. 28 at various locations including the Beaverton Transit Center and Orenco MAX stations.

Corvallis nonprofit to host Edible Garden Tour
The Corvallis Sustainability Coalition is hosting a free Edible Garden Tour on Thursday, Aug. 29 from 5-8 p.m. in northeast Corvallis, starting at Corvallis Waldorf School. According to the CSC website, the tour is designed for active transportation, like walking and biking, and is open to new and experienced gardeners. Many of the gardens featured will be in the front or back yards of local gardeners.
