American Titanium Metal‘s new $867.8 million titanium mill is expected to invest nearly $1 billion into the tax base and create over 300 jobs. Fayetteville police seek SUV; man dies after he’s hit while crossing road
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Police in Fayetteville released photos of an SUV they say was involved in a crash that killed a man crossing a road Thursday night. The deadly wreck was reported around 9:50 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Cliffdale and Bunce roads, according to a news release from the Fayetteville Police Department.

North Carolina Department of Transportation is improving pedestrian safety through upgrading traffic signals.According to a Friday press release, NCDOT is adding a 'leading pedestrian interval' or LPI, to its traffic signals. This gives pedestrians a three to seven-second head start to enter the crosswalk before drivers who must yield before making a turn."This change makes pedestrians more visible for drivers," Nick Zinser, NCDOT's Western Region Signals Engineer, said.
