ST. PETERSBURG — Some modest accomplishments were sitting right there for the Rays on Wednesday afternoon as they headed into the sixth inning.

A chance to run their winning streak to four games, to record their third sweep of the season, and to reach the halfway point of their schedule with a winning record.

And then it all went away.

The Rays went to the sixth leading by one with starter Ryan Pepiot working on a one-hit shutout.
