    St. Petersburg residents escape house fire, home a ‘complete loss:’ SPFR

    ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WLFA) — A fire left a single-family home significantly damaged, according to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue.

    Fire rescue said firefighters responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday to find the home engulfed in flames.

    A spokesperson for fire rescue called the home, located on 40th Ave. South, “a complete loss.”

    Thankfully, the occupants of the home made it out before the fire spread.

    Firefighters extinguished the flames after it made its way into the home’s attic.

    A fire investigator is working to determine the cause of the fire, fire rescue confirmed.
