ST. PETERSBURG — It’s been more than two years since Shane Baz took the mound at Tropicana Field for a big-league game.

Thursday night, the Rays right-hander will make his first home start since June 28, 2022.

Baz said the stadium is “familiar,” since he spent a lot of time there during rehab.

“It’ll be fun,” he said Wednesday.

The start will be Baz’s second in the big leagues since 2022 Tommy John surgery.
