ST. PETERSBURG — Taj Bradley went back to the fastball.

With a runner on second and behind in the count to David Fry with two outs in the seventh inning Friday night, the Rays right-hander went right at the Guardians pinch hitter. Bradley fired back-to-back fastballs, at 97 and 98 mph, striking him out and ending the inning.

Bradley pumped his fist as he walked off the mound, having thrown seven scoreless innings as the Rays beat the Guardians 2-0 in front of an announced 17,290.

With their second straight win, the Rays (47-47) returned to .500
