    Car crash knocks out power in St. Pete after driver strikes pole

    ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — An electrical grid in the Disston Heights area in St. Petersburg went out after a vehicle crashed into a power pole on Friday night.

    According to St. Pete police, a car struck the pole at the intersection of 30th Avenue North and 49th Street North at around 10:30 p.m.

    New changes coming to Florida driver’s licenses

    Officials said the entire intersection closed after the power went out.

    Duke Energy was on the scene working to restore the power, as officers conducted traffic due to the lights being out.
