Born Monday, August 19, 1940, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Jesse Brewer Jr. and the late Hazel Virginia (Carpenter) Brewer. He was preceded in death by his first wife Romaine I. "Peg" Brewer in 2002 and later by his second wife Carolyn Brewer in 2024.

Annis Elizabeth (Kingston-Mitchell) Skipper, 87, formerly of Mapleton, went to be with the Lord at 5:59 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at Embassy at Woodland Park in Orbisonia. Born, Nov. 25, 1936, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Andrew and Dorothy Cora (Simpson) Kingston. Annis was twice married, first to Dean M. Mitchell of Duncansville, who passed away May 31, 1990; then to Thomas W. Skipper Nov. 27, 1991, in Fredericksburg, Maryland. He preceded her in death March 5, 2006.
