CHAMBERSBURG BOROUGH MAYOR AUTHORIZES BURN BAN
Please be advised that Mayor Kenneth Hock, at the recommendation of Dustin Ulrich, Fire Chief and EMS Director, authorized a burn ban in the Borough of Chambersburg, effective Wednesday, June 26, 2024, through Monday, July 22, 2024. The Mayor declared the burn ban because of drier than normal temperatures, with no significant rainfall being forecast. On Monday, July 22, 2024, Town Council may by Resolution extend the burn ban.

Franklin County borough mayor enacts burn ban for next 3 weeks
A burn ban is in effect for Chambersburg until late July, according to a release from Mayor Kenneth Hock and the Chambersburg Police Department. The burn ban, which is in effect until July 22, came at the recommendation of Chambersburg fire chief and EMS director Dustin Ulrich due to “drier than normal temperatures” and a lack of rain in the forecast, the police report said.

Real estate operator PREIT has announced the latest tenant at its Valley Mall property: Meritus Health. The health clinic will bring 10,000 sq. ft. of physical therapy and sports medicine practices to the Hagerstown, Md. mall, and plans to add a family medicine clinic in 2025.
