F&M Trust donates $5,000 to support The Maryland Theatre’s Century Club
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — F&M Trust recently donated $5,000 to The Maryland Theatre in support of its Century Club, which consists of community members who believe in the arts and have made a commitment to the historic preservation of the theater built in 1915. The bank’s five-year pledge will allow the theater in downtown Hagerstown to continue to present quality entertainment, educational and cultural offerings to the community.

The Chambersburg Recreation Department is holding a Summer Splash Camp Monday, July 29, through Friday, Aug. 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Chambersburg Aquatic Center, 1 Washabaugh Way, Chambersburg, Pa. Group games, activities, mini golf, basketball or volleyball, and swimming. Swim skill test will be given the first day of camp to determine swim ability and to identify areas of the facility that may be used. $69 ($59 for borough residents). Chambersburg remembers history of 1864
Saturday July 20th Chambersburg will host two historically events that took place in Harrisburg 160 years ago. The Old Market Day will bring over 100 different vendors, and the 1864 Ransoming, Burning, and Rebirth of Chambersburg commemorates the 160th anniversary of a historical event. Janet Pollard the Executive Director of the Franklin County Visitors Bureau joined Asia Tabb on the Spark to share all the details of the two fun events on Saturday.

Martinsburg Man Sentenced to 12 Years for Hagerstown Shooting
In Hagerstown, Maryland, Kahleel Jamal Graham, 27, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, was sentenced to 12 years in state prison on Wednesday after pleading guilty to first-degree assault. Franklin County Man Charged with Felony Animal Cruelty After Injuring Kitten
In a disturbing incident in Franklin County, 75-year-old Robert Clem of Greencastle is facing serious charges after severely injuring his girlfriend’s kitten. According to State Police at Chambersburg, Clem became frustrated with the kitten and kicked it while demanding it to get out of his way. The attack occurred inside a residence on the 14000 block of Mercersburg Road.
