Off the Beaten Path: Sculpture Park at Salem Art Works

SALEM, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) – Located in Washington County, Salem Art Works is an artist community and sculpture park hosting a rotating roster of sculptures by regional, national, and international artists. It was founded by Anthony Cafritz in 2005.

Salem Art Works supports emerging and established artists dedicated to creating new work and promotes an appreciation of contemporary art within the region. The Cary Hill Sculpture Park is home to more than 100 sculptures from different artists. Open from dawn to dusk, there is no admission fee to enjoy everything the park has to offer, from trails to breathtaking views.

It’s located at 19 Cary Lane in Salem. SAW has a lot of community events and programming coming up this month and next:

Music on the Hill: July 13

• Roadside Blues Band will be performing
• 4 – 8 p.m.
• Open to the public, free admission

Salem Teen Arts : July 8 – 19

• For ages 14-18
• Students can choose from Blacksmithing, Glassblowing,  Welding, Foundry, ceramics, painting, screen printing
