    Reports: Salem man arrested after threatening first responders trying to resuscitate woman

    SALEM, Ohio (WKBN) — A Salem man is facing charges after police say he threatened first responders.

    Police and paramedics were called to the 3400 block of Salem Grange Road around 6 p.m. Friday for reports of a woman who had possibly drowned in a pool, according to reports. When they got there, her finance William Dean Hively was intoxicated.

    Reports said he was threatening to get a gun and kill first responders.

    Deputies stood by while paramedics tried to resuscitate the woman.

    Hivey was arrested for the threats.
