    Location: 1341 Waller St. SE

Description : Developers are turning a vacant lot south of Mission Street along 13th Street SE into a 24-unit apartment complex.

Fencing is up and prep work has begun on the project, which neighbors the Pacific Pride fueling station, the historic Honeywood Winery and a residential neighborhood.

According to plans approved by the city in 2023, the development includes two three-story buildings and common space, with garden boxes and bike racks.

Several trees on the .41-acre site will be preserved, according to the plans.

The project was purchased earlier this year by a company connected to Monmouth-based developer Commonground.
