Fire department rescues cats from house fire in Palmer Lake
PALMER LAKE, Colo. (KRDO) - The Monument Fire Department (MFD) responded to a house fire in Palmer Lake where two people were rescued and 15-20 cats were found. MFD says that when crews arrived cats were jumping out of windows. So far crews have rescued 7 cats and found 3 dead. The Buena Vista (BV) Board of Trustees (BoT) continued a hearing on Tuesday, July 23 about temporary workforce camping for businesses in areas zoned Highway Commercial. During the Tuesday July 23 meeting, the public hearing was reopened for discussion. No public comment was delivered during the hearing. After some discussion on the finer details, the Board unanimously voted to continue the hearing until their Tuesday, August 27 meeting.
