EXPANDED STATE FUNDING COVERING TWO ROAD PROJECTS IN CHARITON COUNTY THIS WEEK

Two resurfacing projects this week in Chariton County are underway, paid for by additional funding from the Missouri General Assembly.

Route NN south of Salisbury will be narrowed to a ten-foot lane Monday and tomorrow to allow Magruder Paving to install the new hot-mix asphalt surface. Magruder Paving will also begin resurfacing Route 129 through the county Wednesday. A ten-foot lane restriction will also be in place during the project.

Both projects are among 1567 miles of low-volume rural roads ranked in poor condition that will receive a new surface as a result of an additional $100 million going into this year’s Missouri Department of Transportation budget. The roads were grouped into several large contracts across the state.

Elsewhere in our region this week, MoDOT crews are patching potholes along Carroll County Routes T, W, NN, and UU.
