The City of Salisbury is considering whether to begin charging a rental fee for groups using the city’s facilities.

While no action was taken at Thursday’s city council meeting, the discussion was lengthy, according to mayor Steve Kacvinsky.

Kacvinsky says discussion will continue at a future council meeting.

The council also received an update from Maco Construction on a project installing sidewalks around the city. Kacvinsky says the firm identified easements and right-of-way needed for construction to proceed.

Also at Thursday’s meeting, the council agreed to allow a beer garden at the annual Salisbury Pumpkin Fest, set for Sept. 21st. Connie Asbury was appointed to a three-year term on the library board.
