SALISBURY — This summer was a blast. From rockets to drones, from chemistry to physics; STEAM was the focus for the summer.

BrickEd & More hosted more than 200 students for camps this summer in Salisbury with a different focus each week.

Two new camps were introduced that were quite the hit. In Aeronautics Camp, students learned about drone technology, flight and how air impacts things that fly.

BrickEd also introduced a Master Builder Camp, where students learned about all the bricks made by LEGO, and participated in the BrickMaster competition at the end of the week.

STEAM Camp allowed students to become young scientists with each day’s focus on a different domain of science; while engineering design camp provided students the opportunity to create and use art and engineering together to solve real world problems and learn about how science and engineering differ and come together to help us make our world better. They learned about hydraulics, city planning, how floods impact the earth, robotics and coding.

Robotics Camp was the largest camp and focused on coding, input, output and robotics design. Students made motorcycles, spirographs and soccer kickers with LEGO materials.

BrickEd & More has now added a new non-profit side to its business and it will be known as BrickEd Academy for Learning.

The center is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday for open play and exploration.
