Two vehicle accident closes W. Innes temporarily

SALISBURY — A two-vehicle accident on West Innes Street at Overman Avenue closed West Innes in both directions for a short time Friday afternoon about 3:15 p.m.

Officials said both the driver and passenger of one vehicle were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police were still interviewing one of the drivers and were unable to provide detailed information on what caused the accident, but a bystander said he thought one car had pulled in front of another.
