The 4th of July is a fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family. This guest blog features some fun, creative, and fulfilling activities to add to your celebration. Music, art and nature this summer
Monday through Thursday, July 8-11, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Join local artist Debbie Campbell for a painting workshop on the essentials of watercolor. Students, ages 10 and up, will learn watercolor techniques and express their creativity while learning about color, composition and perspective. Fee is $75. All materials provided. Seaplanes Want to Beach Aircraft at Weirs
Seaplanes could join swimmers at Weirs Beach if a request before city council next month is successful. City councilors will hear a request from Epic Seaplane Adventures to designate and operate a seaplane base out of the Weirs at their first meeting in July, bringing the novel activity back to the city after decades without it.
