    Blotter for July 16

    In Salisbury Police Department reports:

    • Possession of drugs occurred in the 100 block of South McCoy Road between 9 a.m. and 11:34 a.m. on July 11.
    • A larceny occurred in the 800 block of Jake Alexander Boulevard West at 12:10 p.m. on July 11. The total estimated loss was $660.
    • A burglary by forcible entry occurred in the 100 block of South Jackson Street at 8:48 a.m. on July 12.
    • A hit and run causing miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 900 block of East Innes Street between 11:45 a.m. and noon on July 12.
    • Shoplifting occurred in the 700 block of East Innes Street at 4:20 p.m. on July 12. The total estimated loss was $12.
    • A hit and run causing miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 1000 block of Freeland Drive  at 4:49 p.m. on July 12.
    • An assault occurred in the 300 block of South Shaver Street at 5:01 p.m. on July 12.
    • A larceny occurred in the 600 block of Mocksville Avenue at 7:54 p.m. on July 12. The total estimated loss was $295. A nurse at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center went to take a patient’s blood and left the equipment in front of the patient on a tray, said Major Justin Crews, public information officer for the Salisbury Police Department. The nurse left the room and came back in, finding the patient allegedly attempting to steal butterfly needles and tourniquet equipment from the tray. The nurse made the patient put the equipment back and filed the report with police, but did not choose to press charges, said Crews.
    • Fraud by false pretenses occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street at 9:24 p.m. on July 12. The total estimated loss was $500.
    • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 900 block of South Main Street between 9 p.m. on July 12 and 8:30 a.m. on July 13.
    • A hit and run causing miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 1000 block of East Innes Street at 9 a.m. on July 13.
    • A hit and run causing miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 200 block of Churchill Drive between 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on July 12. It was reported on July 13.
    • Shoplifting occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street at 10:28 a.m. on July 13. The total estimated loss was $109.
    • Shoplifting occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street at 10:25 p.m. on July 12. The total estimated loss was $94.
    • Possession of marijuana occurred in the 300 block of South Long Street at 12:06 a.m. on July 14.
    • A hit and run causing miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 100 block of North Ellis Street at 6:24 a.m. on July 14.
    • Fraud occurred in the 1300 block of Klumac Road between 1 p.m. and 1:18 p.m. on July 12. It was reported on July 14. The total estimated loss was $271.
    • A larceny occurred in the 600 block of East Lafayette Street between 12:38 a.m. and 11 a.m. on July 14. The total estimated loss was $299.
    • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 200 block of North Arlington Street between 6:50 p.m. and 7:25 p.m. on July 14. The total estimated loss was $250.
    • Vandalism occurred in the 700 block of Maple Avenue between 5 p.m. on July 13 and 6:30 p.m. on July 14.
    • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 100 block of Marriott Circle between 7:30 p.m. and 8:12 p.m. on July 14. The total estimated loss was $200.
    • Urriah Javaugh Jones, 31, was charged with misdemeanor resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer on July 11.
    • Dadrian Lamar Feaster, 32, was charged with felony possessing stolen goods on July 11.
    • Dustin Eric Cauthen, 34, was charged with a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence and misdemeanor assault on a female on July 12.
    • Kenneth Dillion Gilbert, 21, was charged with felony larceny and felony obtaining property by false pretenses on July 13.
    • Shabazz Hakim Thornton, 30, was charged with misdemeanor resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer and misdemeanor second-degree trespassing on July 14.

    In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

    • Possession of drugs occurred at the intersection of East Innes Street and South Shaver Street at 10:31 p.m. on July 11.
    • An assault occurred in the 400 block of John Morgan Road at 8:50 a.m. on July 11.
    • Vandalism occurred in the 1000 block of Hawkinstown Road between 4 p.m. on July 10 and 10:15 a.m. on July 11.
    • An attempted burglary by forcible entry and vandalism occurred in the 11900 block of Shinn Road between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on July 11.
    • A larceny and theft of a truck occurred in the 300 block of Leach Road between 6 p.m. on July 6 and 8 a.m. on July 7. It was reported on July 11.
    • Fraud by wire, computer or electronic manipulation occurred in the 4600 block of Sherrills Ford Road between 10:50 a.m. and 2 p.m. on July 11.
    • An illegal burning occurred in the 1500 block of Oak Breeze Drive at 1:30 p.m. on July 12.
    • A larceny from a building occurred at Beagle Club Road at 7:51 p.m. on July 13.
    • Bailey Scott Tesch, 18, was charged with felony discharging a firearm into occupied property on July 11.
    • Joshua Lee Bare, 39, was charged with felony assault by strangulation and a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence on July 11.
    • Kim Randal Barringer, 68, was charged with misdemeanor larceny on July 11.
    • Charles Stanley Jackson, 27, was charged with misdemeanor injury to personal property on July 11.
    • Samuel Lee McCrary, 49, was charged as a habitual felon on July 12.
    • Ariel Elese Massey, was charged with misdemeanor resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer and misdemeanor child abuse on July 12.
    • Whitney Ashley Ball, 34, was charged with misdemeanor unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor simple assault on July 12.
    • Antonie Terell McGee, 37, was charged with felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury on July 12.
    • Devan Allen Brown, 30, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance on the premises of a penal institution and larceny on July 12.
    • Gregory Allen Campbell, 45, was charged with misdemeanor assault on a female on July 12.
