SALISBURY — A two-vehicle accident on West Innes Street at Overman Avenue closed West Innes in both directions for a short time Friday afternoon about 3:15 p.m.

Officials said both the driver and passenger of one vehicle were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police were still interviewing one of the drivers and were unable to provide detailed information on what caused the accident, but a bystander said he thought one car had pulled in front of another.

Any additional information will be added once it becomes available.

If the Salisbury police would do some traffic control they would know, West Innis is 35 mph. You wouldn't know it as fast as most, I said most auto fly up and down that section. And its all over salisbury each time I come to town its speeders, tailgaters, people doing left turns from a right hand straight ahead lane, drining left of center , thats mainly on 150 that I travel. All of these carry fines and points on license. But the only time I see a Salisbury cop, is turning into Krispy Kream or leaving.Whoever is in charge ,needs to be demoted to pushing a mop, and you people in the city and county need to quit voting for these incomitts, these are the people that are appointing sorry lazy people to these positions.
