One more day this week with the chance of rain
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Our week has been quite cloudy with sporadic showers and heavy downpours moving through. It has had two straight evenings with decent rainfall totals and a few spots picking up torrential downpours leading to some localized flooding. Now, a new drought monitor will be released this morning. We do not expect most of the Mid-Ohio Valley to be taken out of the drought category, but we do see some of the region improving a cut out of the severe drought category. More rain is definitely needed, and, in fact, we will see shower and thunderstorm chances return next week.
