Chloe Quinton makes impact at Dominion Energy
Summer intern Chloe Quinton has made an impact at Dominion Energy in just two months. Since joining the company’s system control and operations planning group in early June, the rising University of South Carolina junior has tackled several projects to support the continued delivery of safe, reliable energy to Dominion Energy’s customers. The System Control Center, which is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year, is where Dominion Energy operators monitor and control the electric transmission system and dispatch generation sources to meet the demand of more than 800,000 customers in South Carolina.
Over a dozen indicted in drug trafficking operation after multiple agency investigation
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A federal grand jury in Columbia has indicted more than a dozen people from South Carolina for drug trafficking offenses. The indictment alleges that beginning in January 2016, 13 individuals engaged in a conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute large quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine.
