From Powder to Pond-Skimming -- Snowbird's Closing Weekend

Snowbird delivered one last weekend of spring skiing fun over Memorial Day Weekend. A late-season storm brought four inches of fresh snow to the resort -- for a season total of 607 inches. The new snow made it possible to get early morning pow turns on Baldy, but by early afternoon the temps warmed up to 50 degrees and it was time to pond-skim.

Snowbird Resort is scheduled to open for summer activities on June 15. The Alpine Slide, Tram Rooftop Balcony, and mountain biking trails will be open, conditions permitting.
