SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — Buca di Beppo, known for its Italian cuisine and family-style dining, has shut its doors at both of its Utah locations.

Google is now showing “permanently closed” for the chain’s Salt Lake City and Midvale locations. A phone message at both locations confirms this, and also says “We thank our customers for their loyalty.”

According to Restaurant Business Magazine , the Utah restaurants are among 13 other Buca di Beppo locations that were closed across the country this week — other closures include Sacramento, California; Livonia and Utica, Michigan; Springs Township, Pennsylvania; and Colonie, New York.

Buca di Beppo opened its first restaurant in Minneapolis in 1993, with the goal of creating a fun atmosphere for large groups to come together and enjoy food. Currently, there are 44 locations still open nationwide, with the closest ones to Utah now being in the Las Vegas, Nevada area.

ABC4.com has reached out to the restaurant chain for comment on the closures, but has not yet heard back.
