If you don’t recall, the film illustrates Chambers’ multifaceted life as a leather enthusiast, husband, and nurse. Chambers, who attended the award ceremony, said he views the win as validation to never give up on one’s dreams and he plans to continue inspiring others through his nursing career and social media. SEATTLE—Eight News-Press & Gazette (NPG) stations have joined NewsON, Sinclair Broadcast Group’s free, multiplatform streaming service offering local news content. They include: KION, Monterey, Calif.KESQ, Palm Springs, Calif.KEYT, Santa Barbara, Calif.KRDO, Colorado Springs, Colo.KIFI, Idaho Falls, IdahoKMIZ, Columbia, Mo. KTVZ, Bend, Ore. KVIA, El Paso, Texas “NPG is pleased to expand the footprint of our local station brands and take advantage of the excellent streaming technology offered by this new partnership with NewsON,” said Michael Fabac, vice president of content and station promotion for NPG. NewsON offers live and on-demand local newscasts, FAST channels and news clips from over 23 television broadcast ownership groups, providing viewers instant access to local news content from 286 local TV stations covering 91% of the country’s population. “We’re pleased to have NPG stations join our lineup. With more local news content from additional markets across the U.S., we’re aligned in our goal of increasing the reach and impact of local news,” said Ron Stitt, vice president/general manager of NewsON. Fast-casual Mexican chain to enter new state
Moe’s Southwest Grill will soon enter a new state in its namesake region. The Mexican fast-casual restaurant, known for burritos, tacos, bowls and more, has announced that it will open its first stores in Arizona through a five-unit franchise agreement that will bring locations to the greater Phoenix area. The first location is set to open at Pebble Creek Marketplace in Goodyear in September.

6 men charged with stealing more than 300 firearms in burglaries across SoCal
Six men are facing federal charges in connection with a string of burglaries across Southern California in which they allegedly rammed stolen vehicles into gun stores before breaking into them and stealing more than 300 firearms. The burglaries were committed over nine-months, targeting nine different businesses in cities located in five different counties across the region from Ventura County down to San Diego County, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California. SACRAMENTO— The California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation (CLLCF) celebrated Monday, July 15, a decade of operation by announcing in a press release that 76 students across California have been chosen to receive a 2024 CLLCF Scholarship.
