COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — US-highway 76 west of Newberry has been closed until further notice due to an accident. The Highway is closed from Pete Harris Rd to Gary’s Lane. Detours are being set up. The closure is due to clean up. No serious injuries have been reported.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — The Columbia Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that leaves on pedestrian dead. According to officials the 65 year old victim was hit by a vehicle while walking along Farrow Rd around 2 a.m. Richland County Coroner's Office is assisting in the investigation.
