KEENANSVILLE — A Sampson County man was sentenced to up to 31 years in prison on Thursday for his role in an attempted robbery and shooting that killed one man and injured another in the parking lot of the Beulaville McDonald's in 2020. Driver dead after truck crashes into Sampson County creek, NC troopers say
CLINTON, N.C. (WNCN) – A driver is dead after troopers said his truck went into a creek in Sampson County and submerged underwater on Wednesday afternoon. According to North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 2 p.m. near 5074 Faison Highway, which is located in Clinton.

ERWIN — Mrs. Reaber Nadean Wrench Lockamy, 96, passed away Wednesday evening, June 26, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Nadean was born on Oct. 17, 1927, in Sampson County, daughter of the late Robie and Inez Wrench. She was also proceeded in death by her husband, Arnold Lockamy; and her sister, Evelene House.
1 dead after heavy work truck overturns in Sampson County
One person is dead after a crash Monday evening involving a heavy work truck.At about 4:30 p.m., Clement Fire Department was called to Sivertsen Road and Halltown Road, which is north of Autryville.Upon arrival, units said they found a Machine & Welding Supply truck, a 2014 Hino, upside down. Multiple tanks were leaking industrial gases.The driver, identified as Jackson David Parker, 25 of Fayetteville, was still inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.According to Trooper Hall, the truck was traveling south on Sivertsen Road when it ran off the road. It overturned and crossed a ditch before landing upside down.Aurtryville Fire Department, Wade Community Fire Department and City of Fayetteville Fire Department assisted with the incident.This is Sampson County's 10th fatal collision of the year.
