    Northern California man found with fentanyl, meth, metal knuckles after traffic stop

    (FOX40.COM) — A man from Northern California was arrested on Wednesday after deputies conducted a traffic stop and found him with fentanyl, meth, metal knuckles, gun parts, and gun ammunition .

    The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office said the man, 39 of San Andreas, was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail for various possession charges and violation of probation.

    On Wednesday, around 1:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office said it conducted a traffic stop on Highway 49 in Mokelumne Hill, about 10 miles north of San Andreas. During the traffic stop, deputies learned that the 39-year-old man was on probation.

    Deputies also discovered a passenger in the vehicle, a 33-year-old woman, who was recently released from jail and was also on searchable probation.

    “During a compliance check of the two individuals, deputies discovered methamphetamine, metal knuckles, firearm parts, and ammunition. Both subjects are prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition,” the sheriff’s office said.

    The 33-year-old woman was booked into jail on possession charges and for violating court terms of her release.
