SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — 3,200 residents from Tom Green County and surrounding counties visit the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) office next to City Hall in San Angelo each month.

Now the renovated facility has more space for people who rely on the program for help. The nutrition program is for women who are pregnant and new mothers and children.

WIC Manager Angelo Bloss said, “I’ve been told this is one of the biggest WIC clinics that the state of Texas has so we are very proud of that, glad to have the space and it just means more space for all of our clients so they can push strollers into offices and be able to have that privacy they need doing their paperwork.”

Concho Valley residents qualify for the WIC program based on income.
