SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) —Anticipation is building as Wake The Desert returns for its 24th anniversary at Middle Concho Park on Lake Nasworthy from July 19th through the 21st.

Organized by Family Power Sports, the event looks forward to bringing a great showcase of wakeboarding on its second stop for the Texas Wake and Surf Series.

However, weather concerns might take shape over the event, with forecasts predicting unfavorable conditions.

Jonathan George, Sales Manager at Family Power Sports acknowledges the need for flexibility stating, “If bad weather hits, we’ll have to call an audible and either wait it out, postpone it, or explore what delay options we have but we will try to make our way through.”

Additionally, George expressed excitement for the event, noting an expected turnout of 120 to 150 registered riders and a special event planned for next year.

“It’s going to be our normal setup from Friday through Sunday, we have a big event next year for the 25th anniversary,” stated George.
