A new Italian eatery, Rustic Alaskan Pizza Lounge — formerly known as Scodellas Grill Italiano — is coming to Balcones Heights, according to MySA .

Taking over the former Grady’s BBQ spot at 4109 Fredericksburg Road , the restaurant will land near establishments such as A-1 Car Stereo, Iguanas Burritozilla, and Jiffy Lube.

Behind the concept are Kevin Held, also known as “ Chef Kev ,” and his partner Genna Fox, who “opened their first restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska in 2014,” according to the concept’s website .

“Scodellas is proudly elevating you with the world’s first-ever, unapologetic, UNIMAGINABLE, ‘Levels-Of-Flavor’ Menu. All menu items have received our coveted, official, Alaskan Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) ‘Levels-Of-Flavor’ Seal of Approval,” the introduction continues.

Should the awarded menu remain consistent, locals can expect Italian and Tex-Mex fusion items such as Alaskan pizzas, 1-lb ‘panuozzo’ sandwiches, and ‘scodellas’ — or pizza dough bowls filled with pasta.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.

Note: The article has been updated to reflect the concept’s name change.
