Hangar Bar & Grill Is Expanding in San Antonio

According to MySA , Hangar Bar & Grill is planning to debut its third San Antonio location — joining its existing outposts at 8203 Broadway and 12234 Nacogdoches Road.

Coming to 9330 Potranco Road — taking over the former Dog Haus space — the eatery will land near First Watch, Raising Cane’s, and Willie’s Grill & Icehouse.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Hangar, both “destinations are known and loved for the laid-back atmosphere, drink specials, classic American bar bites from fries to wings, sandwiches and more,” owner Doug Ackerly tells the journal — as well as “rotating events, from trivia, game nights, free boxing events, among others.”

In addition to Hangar Bar & Grill, Ackerly owns local bar Stout House — “a pub-style bar offering 20 different craft beers on tap and a full bar” with seven locations in the San Antonio area.

Hangar Bar & Grill is slated to open in July.
