High schoolers flee scene after party at scenic Colorado spot gets busted

A high school party in the scenic Summit County area of Summit Cove got busted in recent days, and quick karma came to some of those involved.

According to the Summit County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the scene after receiving a report of a possible high school part and fight in the area. When deputies arrived, around 30 teens fled the area in different directions.

One student was found nearby and he admitted to drinking, also in possession of a vape pen. That student was cited for possession and given a ride to a friend's house.

Other students were also located, though they had not been drinking alcohol, thus did not get an official citation. They were, however, returned to the scene of the party to clean up the mess that had been left behind.
