Generally speaking, humans don't usually think spinning around really fast is a lot of fun. Whether you have a weak stomach or not, spinning is incredibly disorienting and just not something we enjoy. When we run across humans who do like it, we're amazed!

Animals seem to have much more fun spinning than humans do, though. Take, for example, this video of a jaguar having the time of her life spinning around on one of her favorite toys. She's much stronger than we are:

Every time I see a video of a jaguar at the San Antonio Zoo, they're always doing something weird. Genuinely, I feel like I need to visit just to watch them be weird in person.

Of all of the official zoos on TikTok, the San Antonio Zoo is one of the most well-known. Recently, they've gone viral several times because of their baby palm cockatoo, which looks and sounds like a tiny dinosaur and is freaking everybody out. Beyond the palm cockatoo, though, almost all of San Antonio Zoo's animals are ridiculously fun to watch.

In this video, we can see a jaguar spinning around on one of their enrichment toys, which looks like a giant loofah just hanging there, honestly. Not only does this cat have an iron stomach, but that grip is crazy: jaguars are not small animals! Supporting themselves takes a lot of effort, and this one is just hanging on by the teeth!

What do Jaguars do for Fun?

San Antonio Zoo or not, jaguars can always be found causing chaos wherever they are. From battling it out with pool floaties to having over-the-top reactions to special treats, they do it all, and it's hard to imagine that there's something a jaguar doesn't like.

In the wild, jaguars spend most of their days in the trees, hunting, or going for a quick dip in the water to cool off. When it's not mating season, you can expect to see most jaguars doing their own thing, and as such, they've gotten good at entertaining themselves. In zoos, they also typically live by themselves , and they get their enrichment from:

    1. Hunting exercises set up by the zookeepers.
    2. Swimming in pools.
    3. Playing with hanging toys, like in this video.
    4. Watching people around their enclosure.

People watching is something a lot of people forget about: when you're in a zoo, it's unlikely you'll see the same person twice. There are plenty of different kinds of people that keep the animals interested in watching them - if the zoo is doing their job and properly caring for the animals in its facility, people-watching is just another layer that helps provide enrichment. People-watching should never be the sole source of entertainment for an animal, though, and this sweet jaguar shows us that she has lots to do!
