A desperate search is underway for a missing 14-year-old who disappeared after walking off at night to meet a man she was talking to on Roblox.

The parents of 14 year old Addison Nicole Milam, from San Antonio, Texas , are overwhelmed with worry after she vanished from their home on Tuesday July 9.

"It's the worst. It's torture. I can't sleep," Tracy Milam, Addison's distraught mother, shared as she grapples with her daughter's mysterious disappearance.

"She left the house, barefoot," her mother recounted, detailing the events that unfolded after a family disagreement over Addison's choice of attire. Tracy Milam explained that the family had plans to dine out, but following the argument, Addison refused to join, prompting Tracy to stay in and cook instead.

"We were all upset after the argument, and she left out the door. I thought well, she's going to just go sit on the curb or walk around the block to cool off," said Tracy, recalling the moment Addison walked out.

"She just disappeared, just vanished. There's no sign, no video, no ring door video," Jeff Gonzalez, Addison's father, expressed his frustration at the lack of clues to his daughter's whereabouts.

Following her disappearance, her parents have unearthed worrying activity on her phone and the app Roblox, including photos, messages and arranging a meeting with a man at a restaurant the day before she vanished.

"He was supposed to meet her there in the chat, is what we got from that. She was very upset that he didn't show up, and she let him know that in the chat. Then he had asked, 'do I have another chance? '," said Milam.

Describing Addison as a girl with a vibrant personality who could easily bring joy to others, yet sometimes preferring to be alone, her parents are desperate for answers.

They revealed that Addison has few friends and that during the pandemic, Tracy encouraged her to socialize online, though they monitored her internet use.

Her parents fear she might have encountered someone dangerous online, noting changes in her behaviour, such as wearing more makeup and dressing older than her age.

"With social media, it's kind of like there's no guards at the gate, you know, there's no gatekeeper in all of this technology," Gonzalez lamented, highlighting the risks of unsupervised online interactions.

The lack of answers for Addison's parents is like experiencing grief repeatedly, without any closure.

"If you're out there, please come home. We all love you. Your family is very worried about you, and concerned," pleaded Milam.

Addison was due to celebrate her 15th birthday on July 18, and her parents are desperate for her to be home for her birthday. They are pleading for any information. She was last seen wearing a tan crop top, black yoga pants with flared cuffs, and no shoes.

If you have any information about Addison's location, you're urged to contact San Antonio Police's Missing Person's Unit at 210-207-7660.
