SAN BENITO, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — Nothing sounds better than waking up to freshly made barbacoa on a sunny Sunday morning.

Barbacoa is made of the meat from the head of the cow, usually the cheek. It is slowly cooked with seasonings, shredded and best enjoyed with a flour or corn tortilla.

For many across the Valley, it is more than just a meal; it brings families together to enjoy a hearty meal on the weekends.
