Little Italy’s Farmer’s Table to Rebrand to New Italian Concept

Farmer’s Table , a farm-to-table restaurant from the San Diego Dining Group , has announced plans to transform its Little Italy site at 550 West Date Street, Suite A , into a yet-to-be-named Italian concept.

San Diego Dining Group is behind some of the city’s most well-known restaurants, including Greystone The Steakhouse, Osetra The Fishhouse, Osteria Panevino, Saltwater, Rusticucina, The Butcher’s Cut, Breakfast & Bubbles, Allegro, Farmer’s Table, InPasta, Zama, Truffle Neighborhood Cucina, and the recently opened Roman Wolves Cucina Romana. Now, for the second time, the group is rebranding an existing location of Farmer’s Table into a new Italian concept this Spring , according to SanDiegoVille .

Last May, the group, owned and operated by two established San Diego chefs and restaurateurs, Alberto Morreale and Vincenzo Loverso , along with Antonino Cusimano and Marco Provino , decided to transform its Bay Park location of Farmer’s Table after five years in business into La Pastaia Cucina Italiana. Now, the group is changing its Little Italy location after it appears the area is on the verge of change, with the Little Italy Food Hall and Graze By Sam restaurant both up for sale.

While it’s unknown what this new restaurant will be named, it will be similar to La Pastaia in Clairemont Village, offering an authentic Italian experience with homemade pasta and various delicious cocktails. The original Farmer’s Table opened in La Mesa Village in 2017 and expanded throughout San Diego, including one location in Tijuana. The Little Italy location originally opened in 2018, offering European-style town square Piazza della Famiglia.
