A Wingstop franchise owner is planning to open dozens of Southern California locations, including six in San Diego County.

Far West Restaurant Group , the largest Wingstop franchisee on the West Coast, is getting ready to expand its footprint in Southern California. The franchise group already operates 127 locations and plans to open another 51 in the next 18 months, including 14 new sites in Los Angeles and seven in Orange County. In the greater San Diego County, the group, led by CEO Jorge Luis Ortiz Garcia , will open six locations, including two this year and four in 2025.

To start, Far West Restaurant Group will open a new location in San Ysidro at 416 W. San Ysidro Blvd Suite North in the third quarter of this year . Around the same time, the group plans to open another location in El Centro at 1497 Adams Avenue, Suite 200 . Closer to San Diego, the franchise group plans to start 2025 with a new location in Ramona at 1668 Main Street, Suite 4D ; West Calexico at 1105 Imperial Avenue, Suite 103 ; and Linda Vista’s Mesa College Square at 7612 Linda Vista Rd, Suite 114 . These three locations are expected to open in the first quarter of 2025 .

Finally, in the second quarter of next year , Far West Restaurant Group will open a location in the Escondido Promenade Shopping Mall at 1200 Auto Park Way . These massive expansion plans were made possible after the franchise group received a “significant” growth investment from Brentwood Associates and Sixth Street last year.

“We are excited to partner with Brentwood and Sixth Street,” Garcia said in a statement last year at the time of the investment. “They both have an in-depth understanding of our business, and we look forward to the experience, strategic input, and value-added resources that they bring to the table as we continue to execute on our growth ahead.”
