Celebrate the Padres at the 12th Annual East Village Block Party

Its’ baaaack!

The East Village Association’s East Village Block Party has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Taking place on J Street from 7th to 10th Avenues in front of Petco Park, baseball fans and community members of all ages are invited to come out and celebrate San Diego’s Padres ahead of the game against the Atlanta Braves.

The new date will feature many of the same activations including local small businesses, a walk-through car show, live music and entertainment, tasty bites, beer and cocktails, photo opportunities, a variety of fun family-friendly activities, and more.

“Though inclement weather led us to make the difficult decision to postpone the Block Party, we are thrilled to reschedule and host an even bigger and better celebration this Summer,” said Dominic Li Mandri, district manager of the East Village Association. “We invite all members of the community to come out and celebrate East Village’s very own San Diego Padres and many of the local businesses that make San Diego so great.”

The streets outside of Petco Park will be filled with an array of things to do including a walk-through car show, local sports teams including the San Diego Legion, fitness activations, a gaming area, photo opportunities, local vendors, and engaging musical entertainment.

While dancing through the crowded streets, attendees can shop from a variety of local vendors including Apollo + Luna for colorful handcrafted jewelry pieces, Down 2 Ferment for a selection of flavorful hot sauces, and other one-of-a-kind shops.

Also on hand will be tasty bites and sips from local food and beverage vendors while soaking up the lively atmosphere. From stadium favorites to mouthwatering meals, the East Villages Block Party will host vendors like El Rey Tacos a Vapor and Fuego Me Up, serving culinary offerings like tacos, burritos, and more. Attendees with a sweet tooth can also enjoy special cookies and baked goods at CAKED or sip on a delicious bubble tea from Teaspoon Boba. Those over the age of 21 can enjoy ice-cold beer and cocktails from a variety of local breweries and bars by picking up a 21+ wristband at the entrance.
