    San Diegans to shred at 2024 Paris Olympics

    VISTA (KUSI/FOX 5) – Team USA announced the twelve skateboarders set to represent the Red, White, and Blue in Paris this month at the 2024 Olympic Games, and among them are four San Diego skateboarders.

    Point Loma High School alum Tate Carew (19) and Oceanside resident Gavin Bottger (17) will head to France to compete in the Mens Park competition. While Encinitas resident Bryce Wettstein (20) returns for her second Olympic appearance alongside Oceanside resident Ruby Lilley (17), where they will compete in the Womens Park competition.

    The Opening Ceremony for the 2024 Olympic games will take place on Friday, July 26, with the Skateboarding Park competitions taking place on August 6th & 7th.
