Boosie Gets Emotional After His Federal Gun Case Gets Dismissed: ‘God I Just Want To Say Thank You’

Boosie’s federal gun case in San Diego has been dismissed, according to multiple outlets.

The rapper also shared a video to his Instagram after the breaking news and told his fans that everything is “finally” over. In his caption he wrote “CASE DISMISSED GOD I JUST WANNA SAY THANK U YOU NEVER LEAVE ME U MAKE A AWAY OUT OF NO WAY. U MADE ME BEAT  SOUTH BATON ROUGE,U MADE ME BEAT CANCER , U MADE ME BEAT DEATHROW,U MADE ME BEAT GUN SHOTS, U MADE ME BEAT FED CASES,U FORGAVE MY SINS #itrustnugod EVERY TIME IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE YOU SHOWED THEY A**! TO ANYONE N TROUBLE CALL ON GOD I DONT CARE HOW BAD IT LOOKS HE WILL DO IT! HE WILL MAKE A AWAY OUT OF NO WAY.”

If you remember, back in June of last year, Boosie’s arrest was after police officers saw him on Instagram live with a “known gang member,” sporting a “black handgun tucked into his back waistband of his pants.” Which led prosecutors to charge the rapper with violating federal laws barring a previously convicted felon from possessing a firearm.

While a San Diego police detective was “conducting intelligence gathering” by monitoring the Instagram account of a “known Neighborhood Crip gang member,” prosecutors say an unidentified man was spotted “filming a music video in what appeared to be a backyard of a residence.”

Once officers were able to locate Boosie they pulled him over at a red light and Boosie reportedly told officers his security guard was in possession of the firearm. But unfortunately officers found another gun in the passenger seat which they say was the same gun that was in the Instagram live video that they were watching.

“During processing, Boosie yelled at his security, and asked why the security guard told the detective the gun was on the seat,” federal prosecutors wrote in the charging document unveiled Friday. “SDPD officers heard Boosie tell his security, ‘You told me they were in the bag.’ This statement demonstrated Boosie’s knowledge of the firearms in the Mercedes.”
