Multiple San Diego beaches are closed Tuesday, according to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality.

The following beaches are closed due the water containing sewage, and potential to cause illness:

    • Coronado shoreline
    • Tijuana Slough
    • Imperial Beach shoreline
    • Silver Strand shoreline

The Coronado Shoreline was added to the list. The Tijuana River is flowing and reaching recreational waters. Ocean waters will remain closed until sampling confirms these areas are safe for contact.

The following beach(s) have bacteria levels that exceed state health standards and may cause illness, and are currently under advisory:

    • La Jolla Children’s Pool
