SAN DIMAS (CNS) - The 47-year-old woman stabbed to death with a Samurai sword in San Dimas was identified Monday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical examiner.

Investigators responded to the 300 block of South Huntington Avenue, between Arrow Highway and Cienega Avenue, around 3:30 p.m. Thursday regarding a fatal stabbing, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department homicide Lt. Daniel Vizcarra.

When they arrived, they found a blood trail and a woman suffering for multiple cuts and stab wounds, NBC 4 reported.

The victim took deputies inside a house where they found another woman suffering from severe stab wounds,  the department said.

The woman found inside the home was pronounced dead at the scene and the first woman was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.

The deceased woman was identified Monday by the medical examiner as Chen Chen Fei.

NBC 4 reported a Samurai sword was recovered at the scene and a third woman was found at the home, but was not injured.

It was unclear what prompted the attack.

Anyone with information regarding these stabbings was asked to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Callers who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or send tips to lacrimestoppers.org.
