Woman found unconscious on Mt. Cristo Rey, rescued by Sunland Park Fire Department
SUNLAND PARK, N. M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — The Sunland Park Fire Department responded to a call of an unconscious woman on Mt. Cristo Rey on Saturday according to a post on X. The woman was discovered by Border Patrol and received active cooling treatment before being transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries according to Sunland Park Fire.

El Paso animal services sees increase in rescues after the fourth of July
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA)-- Since July 1st, El Paso animal services has taken in over 300 animals. Officials say the day after the fourth of July is one of their busiest days. Alberto Ortiz, field operations supervisor for El Paso Animal Services says the fireworks and noise from the holiday festivities tend to scare animals causing them to escape.
