USA: CHP Terminate Pursuit From LA County
Bakersfield, United States - July 23, 2024 07/23/2024 07:35 pm (GMT-0800) | BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – At around 7:30 p.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department was in pursuit of an allegedly stolen Prius on The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch. The chase continued northbound on Interstate 5 near Newhall Ranch Road. The California Highway Patrol's Newhall Division took over the pursuit, eventually entering Kern County, where the Tejon/Bakersfield Division CHP assumed control. The suspect's vehicle came to a stop on northbound I-5 just before the Taft Highway exit. After about an hour, the suspect was pulled out of the vehicle after his windows were broken and a K-9 unit was deployed. Despite being in handcuffs, the suspect continued to resist arrest. He was given medical aid at the scene and then released to officers. Both southbound and northbound lanes were shut down during the standoff but have since reopened. No information has been confirmed by officials at this time.
USA: Vehicle Off PCH Onto Sand Part 2 With Witness Interview
Los Angeles, United States - July 24, 2024 07/24/2024 03:08 am (GMT-0700) | MALIBU, Calif. – A white SUV crashed approximately 150 feet down off of Pacific Coast Highway onto the sand at Topanga Canyon this morning. LA County Fire, LA County Life Guard, CHP, and LA County Sheriffs all responded to reports of a vehicle into the ocean with reports of persons trapped. Crews located the vehicle which had traveled straight from Topanga Canyon through PCH and barriers onto the sand. Two victims were located and transported by LA County Coast guard crews up to PCH to a waiting private ambulance. Both victims were transported to a local area hospital in unknown condition. The cause of the solo vehicle crash is unknown at this time. Additional scene footage from crash site, along with SOT from witness on the sand.

2 charged with murdering Long Beach corn vendor caught in the crossfire of shooting
