Rapidly growing bagel chain Boichik Bagels is expanding in the Bay Area — planning to finally debut in San Francisco, according to the San Francisco Business Times .

The business is gearing up to open three new locations: one in Lower Pacific Heights at 1946 Fillmore Street , where it will take over a space formerly home to Blaze Teriyaki; one at 22 Battery Street in the Financial District; and another in Laurel Heights at 3665 Sacramento Street .

For readers unfamiliar with Boichik, the Berkeley-based bagel shop — owned by entrepreneur Emily Winston — is known for its vegan, kosher, New York-style bagels, which many deem the best in the Bay Area.

In addition to bagels and spreads, the menu boasts paninis, smoked fish sandwiches, and chopped salads.

Opening dates have not been announced yet, so follow Boichik Bagels on Facebook for updates.
